Neighborhood Assistance Program

The Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) is a Virginia state program that incentivizes individuals to make donations to approved nonprofit organizations that provide services to low-income persons. In return for their contributions, donors can receive tax credits up to 65% of the donation that can be applied against their Virginia state income tax liability. The donation is also 100% deductible on the taxpayer’s federal income tax return. NAP credits allow taxpayers to support a worthy cause and save on taxes as well.

Any individual or married couple that pays Virginia state income tax is eligible. Individuals or married couples may receive a tax credit of up to 65% of the total contribution with a minimum donation of $500
