Christmas Assistance

The Salvation Army recognizes that holidays can bring added financial and emotional stress for families in need. We offer a variety of services to help families and individuals make it through more difficult holiday seasons. 

Angel Tree Registration is full. A waiting list will open on October 21st 2025, at 9:00 a.m. SPACE IS LIMITED. ACCEPTANCE IS NOT GUARANTEED. 

Required registration documents are listed below. These documents can all be uploaded through the Angel Tree portal:

  1. Only children 12 years of age or younger are eligible.
  2. Proof of address in Loudoun County, Virginia.
  3. Income for ALL members in the households for the past 60 days. Pay stubs or bank statements can be used. Tax returns are NOT acceptable.
  4. Birth Certificates for all children who are participating. Birth certificates must include the child’s birthday and names of both parents. Passports, Medicaid, or Social Security cards are NOT acceptable.

The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program provides gifts for children for Christmas. Generous members in our community adopt our angels and provide the gifts. We typically approve around 1,300 angels. Angel Tree is for children who are 12 years of age or younger.
